چکیده
For a good management and precise tracks of hydrogen quantities stored in salt caverns, this paper presents study on transport rock during cycling. It provides novel mathematical–numerical model that couples the cavern thermodynamics with mechanisms saturated fully coupled thermo–hydraulic framework. Both two–phase Darcian percolation Fickian diffusion are used to account for migration interstitial brine salt. Due absence experimental data, parametric is furnished. The effect cycling within discussed detail. Simulations have confirmed dependency parameters. However, similar applications, might be limited. value coefficient affects indirectly percolation. becomes more piston–like very small values coefficient. On real–scale typical cavern, over period 40 years, simulations proven quantity lost into surrounding unimportant. Besides, renders insignificant.

Feasibility study of underground salt caverns in Western Newfoundland: experimental and finite element investigation of creep-induced damage
Underground caverns in rock salt deposits are the most secure disposal method and a type of gas-storing facility. Gas storage plays a vital role in ensuring that a strategic relationship is secured between an established energy infrastructure provider and a midstream energy company. The Fischells Brook area is a pillow-shaped body of salts located in the St. George's Bay area of southwest Newfo...

متن کاملRock dusting considerations in underground coal mines
Rock dusting to prevent coal dust explosions has been in widespread use in U.S. underground coal mines since the early 1900s. Underground coal mining technology has changed significantly over this same time period, becoming highly mechanized and produces finer coal dust particles which are more explosive. Despite the advances in mining technology, mine-wide dust sampling practices have remained...
متن کاملGeoelectric exploration and monitoring in rock salt for the safety assessment of underground waste disposal sites
The safety of an underground waste disposal site depends to a large extent on the presence and migration of the water in the rock. Geoelectrics is the most suitable method particularly in underground mining conditions to explore and monitor the moist zones in many different rocks. Recent developments in hardware, inversion schemes and petrophysical interpretation of the resistivity enable relia...
